Pressure Hydraulics & Controls have recently attended the official opening of Moog Industrial Group’s new production facility at Aschchurch Parkway in Tewkesbury.

The company that makes the equipment controlling Wimbledon’s retractable roof and products for Formula 1 cars has officially opened a new production facility.

Pressure Hydraulics & Controls MD, Jim Hickey, said: Being Ireland’s official sales partner for Moog Industrial Group, Pressure Hydraulics & Controls were delighted to attend the opening of this state of the art facility, we continue to work closely with Moog in order to maintain and develop our close working relationship to the benefit of our customers.

Moog’s new building covers 43,896 sq ft split across 20,053 sq ft for offices and 23,843 sq ft for the workshop.

The group makes and services hydraulic and electric motion control products for markets including motorsport, test, industrial automation and energy.

Moog has operated in the UK since 1968, having been founded in the United States in 1950 by Bill Moog, Art Moog and Lou Geyer.

In 2015 it marks 50 years in Europe, having set up a German facility in 1965.

It has more than 40 locations worldwide, with Moog Industrial Group recording sales of $591 million during 2014. The industrial group’s sister operations have provided components for Boeing jets and for the Saturn V launch rocket that set the Apollo 11 crew on their space voyage to the first Moon landing.
